Asteroids cabaret cabinet (1980 Atari) Horizontal Screen (Vector)

Asteroids. Classic. 'nuff said.

I've acquired a cabinet that started life as a MissileCommand mini. At some point it has been horribly converted to jamma. It's lost its mini marquee and had the screen and monitor position seriously messed with. Its also acquired a TOP marquee!.

This shows how it must have started life, how it appeared when i got it, and how it should look by the time I'm done with it.

Items I have:
mini cabinet (MissileCommand close enough)
Asteroids PCB and Regulator Audio
Asteroids mini control panel
Asteroids mini marquee
15" quadrascan vector (b+w) monitor (battlezone but close enough)
Power Supply Assembly for Asteroids (upright but should be OK)
Asteroids cabaret wiring loom (upright would do)

Items I Require:
steel trim from cabinet top (I may be able to get this fabricated)

A little research reveals that the missilecommand and asteroids monitor assembly are of a diffrent design. Although I'm trying to build an Asteroids I've decided to go with the missilecommand design as I have one to copy. The vector monitor will have to be mounted about 2cm higher then the top of the assembly to compensate.

Thanks for the image XY, DSYDE Thanks for the image John.

The machine's up and running now. Still got a few bits to tidy up and screw down. It's running on a bootleg board as my 2 original boards are toast. there's a small glitch in the monitor too. The spotkiller tends to activate when there's very little going on on the screen (eg when you get to the last asteroid) it causes a dead zone to appear in the middle of the screen. My battlezone also has a dodgy spotkiller (different fault) so I'll maybe shotgun the 2 together at some point.

Items Also want (non urgent more of a note to self really):
screen plexe (I can fab this myself if I have to). - DONE!
Asteroids / AsteroidsDeluxe MAIN WIRE HARNESS assembly

2 illuminated plastic coin slot inserts.
2 coin lockout coils and metal thingys the magnets grab + 10p mech.
Locks and keys
speaker
PCB retaining runners
coin box
T-Mold
